Over 1000 pupils took part in Castlebar Walks Wednesday last week. Pupils from St. Angelas NS, St. Patricks NS, Scoil Raifteiri and St. Josephs Secondary School took to the streets and walked to school last Wednesday. Pupils walked from their homes and from designated Park & Stride locations in Castlebar. There was noticeably less traffic and congestion in the town with parents and teachers noting the great atmosphere and community spirit felt while walking to school.
